Leaf & Love Organic Lemonade – First Glyphosate Residue Free Product in U.S.

Posted on Apr 4 2017 - 6:12pm by Sustainable Pulse

Leaf & Love Organic Lemonade has become the first product in the U.S. to be certified as Glyphosate Residue Free, the Detox Project announced on Tuesday.

The Co-Founder of Leaf & Love Organics, Amy DiBianca, spoke to Sustainable Pulse to tell us why her company made the move to inform their customers that Leaf & Love Organic Lemonade does not contain glyphosate residues:

What inspired you to start producing Leaf & Love organic lemonades?

Two fellow moms and I wanted to develop the only zero-sugar “juice box” among the current array of high-sugar, empty calorie children’s beverages. With tremendous concerns about children’s sugar consumption on the rise, we felt good about giving parents a healthier option for their children’s lunchboxes and birthday parties.

Why have you certified your product Glyphosate Residue Free?

Having the peace of mind that our product is free of a potentially dangerous pesticide residue is just as important as knowing the ingredients are organic and natural. We are talking about every day foods and drinks that our kids consume, and as a mom, I want the highest degree of confidence that what I give my family is safe. As a company, we feel that our customers deserve to have that confidence and trust in our product.

What are the top issues your customers care about, which make them buy Leaf & Love organic lemonades?

We are the first zero –sugar juice box for kids. That is a game-changer in the children’s drink market. Our customers are aware that childhood obesity and other sugar-related health conditions are on the rise—it’s all over the news that sugar is a HUGE problem. However, our customers don’t want artificial sweeteners that have also been scientifically linked to medical problems. So knowing there is a delicious, organic product that is non-GMO verified, and naturally sweetened without sugar or artificial ingredients, parents feel really good about it.  And now, being verified as Glyphosate free, parents can feel as good as we do when we give it to our own kids.

What are the future expansion plans for Leaf & Love Organics?

Leaf & Love plans on offering additional flavors to give families even more delicious, zero-sugar choices.  We would love to bring our secret formula to the entire family, so that health-conscious grown-ups don’t keep stealing their kid’s Leaf & love out of the pantry and can enjoy an adult-size of their own.

Where can people currently find Leaf & Love organic lemonades?

Leaf & Love Organics is currently selling online via Amazon. We are also in the Southwest region of Whole Foods Market, and will soon make our Whole Foods debut in California in the coming months.

Theres the govt rules for you. There is salt in the lemonade, but since it is under a certain amount, they can say 0 sodium. Same for the sugar. Just mix regular real fruit juice, you know like a squeezed orange, with water. Ratio 1part juice to 5 parts water. Few grains sea salt too. Kids will love it.
