The Detox Project, working in coordination with Mamavation, are set to test thousands of best-selling products over the next 2 years to uncover the truth about the levels of pesticides in our food and supplements, it was announced on Tuesday.
The first category targeted in the ‘What is Really in Our Food and Supplements‘ project was protein powders, which were tested at a third-party laboratory in California, using gold standard mass spectrometry methods and the results shocked all involved.
The Detox Project tested the top eight selling popular protein powders on Amazon. Most of these brands were vegan and contained pea protein, but they also tested brands with soy, whey, & collagen proteins as well.
Leah Segedie from Mamavation stated Tuesday; “When we got the test results back, we were shocked. The exact opposite of what we thought would happen, happened. Some of the organic pea protein brands’ products came back with higher levels of glyphosate than the conventional brands.”
Please read the full details of the pea protein testing results, including details of why the contamination of the organic and conventional supply chain are happening here.
You can also help the testing project by donating to help them test products on their GoFundMe page.

Hi,
Thank you for sharing this video..
I have a daughter fighting cancer and it is important to me to know what I am feeding her.
Would you be able to say if the pea protein in Beyond Meat also contains glyphosates? Their product looks revolutionary but I want to make sure it is carcinogen free,
Thank you!
Shibani
