RIP Prof. Andrés Carrasco: Hero of Independent Science on Pesticides Passes Away

Posted on May 10 2014 - 8:18pm by Sustainable Pulse

Argentine scientist Professor Andrés Carrasco has sadly passed away. He will be sorely missed by many people around the World who recognize him as a brilliant and brave scientist.

Carrasco was Director of the Laboratory of Molecular Embryology, University of Buenos Aires Medical School and lead researcher of the National Council of Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET), Argentina.

Research published in August 2010 by Professor Carrasco found that glyphosate causes malformations in frog and chicken embryos at doses far lower than those used in agricultural spraying.
